Download the VMWare workstation pro for free
To download the VMWare Workstation pro:
- Navigate to the VMWare Workstation download center
- Scroll down and click on the Download Now button per your requirement. (You want it for Windows or Linux)
Alternatively, you can click on the below button to download the VMware workstation for Windows.
If you open the download page in your browser, the application is downloading. Since the application size is about 600 MBs, it may take some time.
How to install the VMware workstation in Windows 11
After the VMware file downloaded, follow the below steps to install the application in Windows 11.
- Log in to your computer with administrative privileges
- Find and Open the folder where the VMware workstation installer was downloaded. (Mostly can find the Downloaded file in the Download folder of File Explorer)
- Right-click on the Installer file and run it as administrator. If it asks for the administrator’s permission: click Yes.
- The welcome page shows up; click next.
- On the license agreement wizard, accept the terms and click next.
- If you want to change the installation location, click on the Change button in the Custom Setup wizard. Additionally, do the customization for an additional feature and click next.
- Since I want to receive future product updates and join the VMware Customer Experience Improvement Program, I check both options. You can edit the default settings for a better user experience. And click next.
- Select the shortcut you wish to place on your system and click next.
- With the previous customization, click on the Install button if you are ready to install the VMWare Workstation. If you are unsure about the customization, click on the Back button to go back and re-customize.
- Wait while the setup wizard installs the VMware workstation.
- Finally, when the installation is completed, click on the License key if you have License key. If you do not have the license key, click Finish button to close the wizard.
Congratulations! You have installed the VMware workstation successfully. Now you can use multiple operating systems on your single host machine. Enjoy the virtualization environment.
